Our Story
Two Generations Inside USDA-FSIS
R A Olivas Consulting is led by Raul A. Olivas Jr., who began learning the business from his father, Raul Olivas Sr., in 2007. Raul Sr. spent 31 years with USDA-FSIS, holding various supervisory and managerial positions before retiring in 1998 — the same year he founded Olivas Consulting.
Father and son worked side by side for nearly two decades. Raul Sr. is mostly retired today but still lends his expertise when needed. That combined, hands-on experience inside the regulatory system is what R A Olivas Consulting brings to every client relationship.
Today the firm supports over 165 active clients, primarily throughout Southern California and Las Vegas, with additional establishments across the country relying on the same direct, document-in-hand approach to compliance.
